Tourist destination in Penang which is famous for its nicknamed 'Pearl Island' is known around the world and the ongoing efforts undertaken to develop various new products.

Tourism `homestay 'will open new opportunities to improve the living standards before the participant is only dependent on the agriculture and farming.

In addition to diversifying economic activity, other activities were developed at the same time as the field of culture, handicrafts and other manufacturing and production of traditional cakes.

One of the project was a choice of homestay Kampung Titi Mengkuang in the area of Bukit Mertajam.

There are activities like Mengkuang-mat-weaving demonstration, a trip cottage industry factories(Malaysian Muffins,bedak sejuk (traditional beauty powder made from rice flour) and soy bean products)visit to the Mengkuang Dam vicinity and the Air Itam Dalam mangrove reserve, a cultural show, a stroll through a rubber plantation and an oil palm plantation and a visit to a fruit orchard
